Green Gunpowder

Gunpowder tea is a Chinese green tea produced in the Zhejiang Province of China. The method of production results in each leaf being rolled into a small round pellet.  The English name for this tea derives from the appearance of the tea which looks like gunpowder.

The larger-sized rolled leaf of this Gunpowder tea yields a deep tawny-green liquor with a pronounced vegetal/peaty flavor.
